Meet Our Founder

Sana Raheem founded The Ramadan Edit with a simple belief: Ramadan deserves to feel as beautiful and thoughtfully designed as any other holiday season.

As a Muslim woman and mother, Sana experienced firsthand how difficult it was to find modern, design-forward pieces that reflected how her family actually celebrates - stylish, intentional, rooted in tradition, yet fully part of contemporary life. While other holidays filled store shelves each year, Ramadan often felt like an afterthought.

Before launching The Ramadan Edit, Sana was an early operator at The Farmer’s Dog, where she helped scale the brand during a period of rapid growth. There, she developed a deep appreciation for building mission-driven companies that serve real community needs.

Outside of work, Sana is deeply inspired by Muslim culture in New York -  from intimate iftar dinners and community gatherings to modest fashion, thoughtful hosting, and the creative entrepreneurs shaping the next generation of American Muslim identity. She has always loved bringing people together around the table, and that spirit of hospitality lives at the heart of The Ramadan Edit.

With the brand, she set out to reimagine Ramadan not as a niche moment, but as a joyful, 30-day season of hosting, gifting, gathering, and reflection. Every card, keepsake, and detail is designed to honor tradition while feeling elevated and timeless - pieces families will look forward to bringing out year after year.

Today, The Ramadan Edit is carried by national retailers including Michaels and HomeGoods, helping ensure that Muslim families can see themselves reflected in mainstream retail in a way that feels authentic, joyful, and beautifully designed.
